65 million people in India live in slums, with 5.2 million in Mumbai alone. In the poorest areas, every second child under 6 is malnourished, and 7 out of 10 girls drop out after Class 7. At Vision Rescue, we break this cycle by engaging children in education through five impactful initiatives across Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. Together, we can create brighter futures.
We engage children in education through five programs conducted via Learning Centres in some of the poorest slum communities of Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. To sustain their education, we work closely with their families and communities through Community Service Centres—stationary hubs within these slums where our Beacon Learning Centres operate, managed by Community Managers and Case Officers, all qualified social workers.
We engage children through education, nutrition, and consistent care—helping them stay in school and thrive.
We equip and sustain families through life skills, counseling, and awareness—enabling long-term support for their children’s education.
We empower communities through training and collaboration—creating safe, informed spaces where children can grow with dignity.
Through education, nutrition, and skill development, we empower children and families in Mumbai's slum communities to live with dignity and purpose.
Explore real stories from the heart of our communities—children overcoming challenges, families rebuilding their lives, and the everyday impact of your support. Stay inspired and see how change unfolds, one story at a time.
